Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"It was our first time here. The food is absolutely delicious!! This restaurant definitely deserves more than 5 stars. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and phenomenally delicious. The atmosphere is great, and our server was Chastity who was very attentive and super sweet. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant."
"Our local haunt! We love the Fly In Cafe. Breakfasts are always amazing (Bottomless Mimosas) lunches are fun and dinners are always good(get the pizza) We love the atmosphere - think Cheers … everyone knows your name. Alexis, Ashley, Sandor and Courtney at the bar know what we drink: we walk in and it’s ready! If you come more than once and get to know the neighborhood crowd you’ll be glad you did! Yes it’s mainly full of us residents driving our golf carts and planes, so please be cautious and courteous but enjoy our community! It's always engaging and entertaining!"
"We were pleasantly impressed with Sunday's lunch/dinner items. All four of us enjoyed getting together, our meals, and the customer service. They had some unique offerings to provide some tasty twists beyond the expected. For example, the cole slaw seemed to contain horseradish, providing a tanginess beyond the ordinary. Pizza delivered to a nearby table looked appetizing. However, it was a rainy day, and there was no aircraft activity at the airport to observe."
"Literally in a gated community for people who own airplanes. Its an "airplane gated community". Security guard at gate will direct you. Great food, quick service"
"We were down for five days in Spruce Creek so we ate at the Fly in Cafe for both breakfast and dinner and the one night we ordered pizzas for takeout. This was the first time we’ve been there since the name change and new ownership. Overall, the food was very good, atmosphere hasn’t changed a whole lot and the service was excellent! The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. Really enjoyed the pork osso buco and would highly recommend it! Breakfast was absolutely phenomenal, and the espresso martini was spot on. Only two things I would warn someone about. If you order a New York strip, it comes with a gravy on it. Very unique taste so I would either not get it that way or order it on the side. Pizzas were phenomenal but if you order the margarita pizza, make sure you like garlic or ask for them to go lighter on the garlic. You’ll be eating it for days! Great place and a staple in the Spruce Creek fly in community and will definitely be going back."
"Wow. Pizza was the best in 9 yrs of living in the area High Fly, small, plenty for two people. Lava cake, just right. Happy hour wine... fullest glass I've ever had. Only draw back .. entitled people who sit at their table with speaker phone on so we can all hear personal details I their phone conversations 6/18 Harvest salad with salmon and a blue cheese. Dressing, this is the best salmon I've had in the Volusia county area at any restaurant in the past 10 years. Peanut butter pie is mouthwatering."
"This is a great place to put on your $100 Hamburger Run “to go” list. I got caught at Spruce Creek due to a weather delay and decided to try it out. I had French Onion Soup (as the side dish) to my French Dip sandwich. Service was excellent to say the least and the food was delicious. Give it a try and there is no need to worry about the private status of the Airpark as Chadd (owner of Yelvington Aviation Services next door) says everyone and anyone can be his guest. He also offers 100LL at his self-fueler that is even cheaper than Dunnellon or Umatilla! GO-go-go!"
"Taco Tuesday, margaritas and happy hour beer was fantastic. We enjoyed everything very much. Karin was our server and was cordial, helpful and attentive. We'll be back for wings tomorrow night. Breakfast Thursday morning."
